The Willmar Lakes Area is no stranger to this seasonal delight, hosting a variety of summer music series concerts that cater to diverse musical tastes. Here are four amazing FREE summer music series concerts in the Willmar Lakes Area that you won’t want to miss.

Little Show on the Crow – Wednesdays June 5th – September 11th (No Show July 24)
Little Theatre Auditorium is proud to announce the musical event of the summer with the Little Show on the Crow concert and market series starting June 5th at 6:30pm! Enjoy this knock-out line up of free live music on the lawn at Neer Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic, and enjoy a delightful evening under the stars. There will also be a variety of makers, producers, and artisans that will be at each event for the evening market as well as a variety of food trucks and chefs from around the state to satisfy your appetite! So every Wednesday this summer, enjoy food, beverages, music & a market at Neer Park in New London from 6:30-8:30pm. The serene surroundings of the park, combined with the soulful sounds of folk, jazz, and acoustic performances, create an inviting ambiance for music lovers of all ages. This new event will end with a final event on Saturday, September 21 with the Autumn Equinox Puppet Parade.

The Land Summer Music Series – Thursdays May 23 – September 17 (No Music July 5 or Sept 5)
Don’t miss the Summer Music Series presented by Bernick’s happening every Thursday evening at The Land throughout the summer! Food starts at 5pm with a different menu each week. Music in Pirrotta Park – Sundays July 14 – August 18
Bring your chair, blanket, family & friends and enjoy two hours of outdoor music entertainment at Spicer’s beautiful Pirrotta Park located on the shores of Green Lake. From 4-6pm enjoy some of the area’s talented musicians while purchasing food from a variety of vendors. All dates are FREE but a goodwill donation is always welcome and appreciated. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Rockin’ Robbins – Tuesdays July 16 – August 6
Rockin’ Robbins is a free outdoor concert series presented by the Willmar Rotary Club. It takes place Tuesday evenings at Robbins Island Regional Park starting July 16th, 2024 and running through August 6th.

This popular concert series offers a mix of genres, from rock and pop to country and blues, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The park’s beautiful setting, complete with a picturesque lake and abundant green space, provides the perfect backdrop for a summer evening of live music. Attendees can enjoy free kids activities, food trucks and vendors, a beer and wine tent, local craft market, and a free shuttle from four convenient park and ride locations. This relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind and enjoy the performances. So pack a lawn chair and join us for the opening act at 5pm out at Robbins Island in Willmar!
