The Village Children’s Museum is a non-profit corporation with the mission to bring a cultural, academic, and physical form of activity to the Willmar Lakes Area.
The Village will provide hands-on exploration of cultural and academic exhibits including plenty of space for physical activity.
General Museum Floor Exhibits:
These will be interactive displays that touch on each one of our target areas: science, language, mathematics, art, geography, politics, music, physical activity and history. Some of the displays will be permanent, while others will be replaced on a regular cycle to be determined by the administration.
General exhibits include a grocery store, restaurant, doctor’s office, theater, fire truck, and more!
Special Exhibition Displays:
To supplement our general floor exhibits, the Village will look both locally and nationally for traveling installations that would be of particular interest to our patrons. The museum hopes to inspire children to be curious as to what comes next.
Adult Education Series:
The Village will offer adult education classes on an on demand basis. The topics of these classes will be wide ranging and focused on interesting academic issues that will be presented in an interactive fashion. Some of the classes include SALT, Reya sewing classes, Basic first-aid, Citizenship classes and exercise.
Private rentals are available upon request. Contact willmarvillage@gmail.com for more information.
We are a community supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to bringing a cultural, academic and physical form of activity to the children of this geographical area.
We rely on your charitable contributions to keep that commitment. Your donation gives the gift that will expand the Museum’s impact on children in the community. Our donors help us maintain and grow our early childhood education services and programming in southwestern Minnesota. Together we are helping children learn and grow.
