Welcome to Simply Shrimp, which is located 8 miles south of Willmar in rural Blomkest.

Paul Damhof founded and runs the family operation near Blomkest. As a former dairy farmer, he remodeled his calf barn into a facility filled with 17 circular tanks housing thousands of shrimp in 86 degree water. These above ground pools attempt to mimic the ocean for these Pacific White Shrimp. It takes 120 to 140 days to grow shrimp from start to finish and depends greatly on water management. The shrimp are sold right from the pool – guaranteeing a truly rare and fresh product for our customers.

Damhof is only the fourth licensed shrimp grower in the state of Minnesota. He hopes to have shrimp available for purchase year-round, for special occasions, holidays or any day.
