They will be open July 16th until the first frost for the 2024 Season.

Bill and Helene Dykstra’s gardens hold between 15,000 to 20,000 annuals plus some perennials amongst some rock scaping done by son Bob, filling more than 2 acres. The planting process takes five weeks to get all the plants in and then there’s the hours of weeding.

Dykstra incorporates an artistic flare into his flower beds. One garden features a pond scene, using different grasses. They also have smaller miniature garden themes throughout  the garden.

The Dykstras don’t charge for a visit but appreciate a donation for WheelChairs for Guatemala.

The garden is open until dusk, starting early July to mid September.

To get there: take Kandiyohi County Road 5, south of Roseland 1 mile, go east on 210th ave. for 1/2 mile, turn south on 37th st.. each turn is will signed.
